3-week Hand building class with Ailsa Cowan

Description:

Students will begin with a couple of projects that will introduce them to the basic hand-building techniques i.e. pinch, coil and slab building. After this they can progress onto other ideas/projects. 

When & Where:

• Day: 3x Tuesdays
• Dates: 28th Jan, 4th Feb, 11th Feb
• Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM each day
• Location: Nelson Community Potters, 136 Rutherford Street

What to Bring:

• A towel and an apron.
• A creative spirit and willingness to get a little bit dirty!
• 2kg of clay is included, after that clay can be purchased for $5 per kg from Ailsa or you can bring your own clay (check that this can be fired to cone 6 and suitable for hand building).
