Step inside Gough Whitlam’s family home

For a limited time in 2026, visit 32 Albert Street, Cabramatta — the home where Gough Whitlam lived, worked, and began his journey to the Prime Ministership.

Open to the public on select dates only.

A rare glimpse behind the front door

This modest suburban home was at the heart of Whitlam’s connection to his community.

As Member for Werriwa, he welcomed constituents into his living and dining rooms: conversations that helped shape a nation.

More than a historic site, this is an intimate look at the personal and political life of one of Australia’s most transformative leaders.
