Event description

Tuesday 14 January 2025 9am - 3pm

3D painting workshop suitable for ages 12 and up.

Join Petalia Humphreys in her Peregian Beach studio to create a 3D painting. Exploring architectural surrounds, this fun workshop will guide you through Petalia’s making processes. Use your phone to capture compositions that are translated to paper templates to then inform three-dimensional paintings. Considering the potentiality of form and perception participants will work with acrylic paint to explore the 2D component of the process, then transfer designs onto a lidded wooden box using acrylic paint that become ‘Active Objects’. The workshop concludes with photo-documentation of the completed 3D painting.

Bring your own morning tea and lunch, wear old clothes or bring an apron.
All art materials provided. Please bring a mobile phone or digital camera.
Drop off at 9am, pick up at 3pm.

Petalia's studio is located in Peregian Beach South - address supplied upon booking.

Class sizes are small and places are limited. Petalia works with each student to create unique pieces - no two works created in the class will look the same.
