3D Printing 101 – Learn the Basics of 3D Printing
Curious about 3D printing? This beginner-friendly session will introduce you to how 3D printers work, how to prepare and send files to print, and the different materials you can use. We’ll also touch on designing your own 3D models, how pricing works, and more. You’ll even get to take home a mini 3D-printed souvenir!

📌 Rules & Helpful Info
- Staff must approve all prints before they start.
- Only library-approved filament can be used.
- You’re welcome to bring your own STL files or create something during the session.
- Please allow time for setup - larger prints may need to be scheduled immediately advance.
- If you’re new to 3D modelling, we’re happy to suggest beginner-friendly software.
- We aim to keep things affordable - charges help us cover material costs only.
