Would you love to take better photographs but aren’t sure where to begin?

Join photographer Anna Heasley for a relaxed, practical three-hour photography workshop in Kaiapoi.

Thanks to funding from Creative Communities NZ, this workshop is available for just $20 per person.

Every participant will also receive a complimentary digital PDF photography guide to keep and refer back to after the workshop.

You’ll learn simple ways to improve your composition, make better use of light and create images with more feeling—whether you use a camera or a phone.

We'll begin at Paper Jam Studio with a tea or coffee and a short indoor session. Anna will share a selection of photographs and use them to explain composition, light, different view points and simple ways to create stronger images.

We’ll then head outside for a guided photo walk around the Kaiapoi Quay and bridge area. Most of the workshop will be spent taking photographs, experimenting and putting the ideas into practice, with guidance along the way.

Anna brings more than 30 years of photography experience and will share helpful, easy-to-understand tips throughout the session.

No previous experience is needed. Bring your camera or phone and wear comfortable walking shoes.
