Build your 4-H Art Sparks experience with a variety of long and/or short sessions.

Session 1 - 9:00-10:45am – choose one 105 minute session OR two 45 minute sessions

Session 2 – 11:00am-12:45pm – choose one 105 minute session OR two 45 minute sessions


This event is for youth in Grades 3-13 and adults. Sessions will be led by youth and adult 4-H leaders. Youth in grades 3-5 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults may also participate in the activity if registered; learn new skills to share with club members. Grades 6+ can attend without an adult.

Each session is $6. Full morning is $12 (2 sessions x $6).

LONG Activities:


Leatherwork (105 min) - Create either a magnetic closure leather bookmark or a water bottle holder to clip onto your backpack. Personalize by using tools to stamp and/or burn your own design.

Metal Enameling (105 min) - Youth will learn the ancient art of bonding finely powered colored glass onto copper metal and ‘firing’ in a special kiln where at very high temperatures the glass melts, flows and fuses to the metal.

SHORT Activities:
(youth will choose 2/session):

Kindness Rocks (45 min) - Create colorful kindness rocks using acrylic paint.

Card Making (45 min) - Use your creativity to make individualized cards for special occasions using stamps and punches.

Sock Snowman (45 min) - Create a cute Snowman made out of fuzzy socks. This craft will be the cutest Winter decoration for any room!

Tic Tac Sew (45 min) - Learn how to make a tic tac toe travel game with felt and basic sewing skills.

Cookie Decorating (45 min) - Learn how to make Royal icing and flood icing, as well as explore fun creative ways to decorate your cookies like water coloring and marbling techniques. Materials may contain nuts or may have been processed in a nut factory, so please take this into consideration when signing up.

Session Sand Art (45min) – Make a sand art terrarium and a decorative sand art bottle using layered patterns and your creativity.
