Event description

This is an engaging introductory 4 week block of workshops to experience working with high quality clay.

This 4 week progressive workshop will guide you through all the essential hand building techniques needed to create almost anything!

It is a truely immersive experience where your imagination can run wild. Your clay may becomeΒ a bowl, planter, mug, vase, platter or something else. This workshop will teach participants how to make their own masterpieces from scratch!

Fri 8th Nov 6-8pm Week 1:Β We will learn the pinch pot method

Fri 15th Nov 6-8pm Week 2:Β We will learn the coil method (you can also begin adding texture or finishing details to pieces created the previous week)

Fri 22nd Nov 6-8pm Week 3:Β We will learn the slab method (you can also finish up any details on previous weeks work)

We will also learn how to work, smooth, join, texture, stamp and detail your pieces to make them all your own!

Fri 29th Nov 6-8pm Week 4:Β We will glaze all our pieces - There will be 4-6 glaze colours to choose from

Come along with your own idea of what you would like to create, or you may just like to work with the clay and allow your piece to naturally unfold.

What will your pieces look like? They will be 'perfectly imperfect' pieces handmade by you!

We will also learn about clay safety which is why we ask that no food is brought into the studio.

Age:Β Adults, teens and children 8 + (welcome with an adult participant)

Attendees required:Β minimum of 6 participants and maximum of 14

What to bring:Β Water, your favourite beverage and most importantly your creative vibes.

Once your pieces are all complete and glazed after week 4, they will need their final glaze firing. They will be ready for collection in approx 1-2 weeks time (postage is an additional charge).

With love, light and gratitude,
