4017 Community Resilience Meeting & Potluck Meal
Event description
Do you want to build community resilience in the 4017 area? Are you concerned about the impacts of climate change and want to build meaningful connections in your neighbourhood? Are you keen to empower yourself & your community to support others in increasingly challenging times?
We're inviting locals living in the 4017 area to join a growing network of people coming together to plan for and build a resilient community in Brighton, Sandgate, Deagon, Shorncliffe & Bracken Ridge.
We believe a diverse and inclusive network of empowered and connected locals is the best way to plan for the environmental and climate impacts we’re already facing, and will face in the future. Come along and share what you think would most benefit our community, and together let’s shape this exciting and important community organising and mutual aid initiative. You don't need to be an expert or have any specific skills or experience - we all have something we can contribute!
Join us at the SANDBAG Community Hall, 153 Rainbow St, Sandgate from 4pm on Saturday 5th April for a community meeting & potluck meal.
Light refreshments will be provided, please bring a plate to share if you can.
We're looking forward to meeting you!
Please note that this is not an official SANDBAG event.
