48th Australian Kendo Championships 2026 - Gold Coast - onsite accomodation

The Australian Kendo Renmei and the Queensland Kendo Renmei are excited to bring you the 48th Australian Kendo Championships, Seminar and Dan Grading Examination on the Gold Coast in 2026. 

Date: Fri 3rd to Tue 7th April 2026.

Location: Tallebudgera Sports Centre 1525 Gold Coast Hwy, Palm Beach QLD 4221

Accommodation:  

The QKR is able to book accommodation on your behalf as part of the venue booking, and allowing you to make bookings before it is booked by other venue hires or private family getaway bookings. 

• Onsite accommodation will be with catering. 
• These are generally 6-person cabins with bunk beds, bathroom, toilet (linen/towels included). Limited number of 4-person 'leader's rooms' are available (QKR is allocate according to special requirements).
• Unless you nominate other attendees for sharing your cabins, you will be placed with your team members from your state closer to the event (will consult your team manager).
• Cabins will be allocated to guests from the same gender group.
• Meals include breakfast, lunch and dinner, morning tea, afternoon tea and supper (packed or served in the dining hall). *Sat night dinner not included.
• They have have 18 wheelchair accessible rooms that are adapted for persons with a disability.

The QKR has booked a limited number of rooms at this stage, and these are available for booking for attendees now. Depending on demand, the QKR will be looking to secure more rooms - however it is subject to availability.

Other booking options:

Individuals will be able to make private 'family escape' bookings onsite directly with the venue, but catering will not be available, AND booking will only be accepted by the venue from 3 January 2026. They will likely be fully booked out by that time (other venue hirers will be making books also). 

Group Bookings - If State Team Managers would like to make a group booking for your team, please email President@qkr.asn.au ASAP to arrange.

• Accommodation-meal package (Championships package) - Friday to Sunday - $166.50
• Accommodation-meal package (Championships & Seminar package) - Friday to Monday - $252.00
• Accommodation-meal package (Championships, Seminar & Grading package) - Friday to Tuesday - $319.00
• Accommodation-meal package (Seminar only or Grading only package) - Sunday OR Monday only - $100.00
• Accommodation-meal package (Seminar & Grading package) - Sunday to Tuesday - $170.00

Cancellations:

Cancellations and modifications will be accepted up to 30 days before the Championships (Ticket fees only - booking fee component is non-refundable).
