4th Floor Elevator (4FE) is a Modernist Museum located in the heart of Adelaide CBD hidden upstairs in a historic building circa 1879.

4FE present a thoughtful curation of objects sourced exclusively from private collection showcasing the influence of migrant and local talents in furniture art, industrial design, and manufacturing in Australia between the 1950s-1980s. These iconic pieces are displayed through a fresh contemporary lens, exemplifying how good design transcends time.

In addition, the museum features international furniture, product & industrial design. There is an 8-bit vintage gaming corner for kids to enjoy.

4FE is a pulsating experience of art, design, music, video graphics, and pop culture which is both educational and inspiring for all ages.  

For enthusiasts of Mid Century, Vintage, Industrial, Space Age furniture and product design, this is a unique collection not to be missed.
