4u2gr0w and CTSE's Stress and Trauma Education Program
Event description
Following the training that 4u2gr0w facilitated last year with United Hatzalah in Psychological First Aid (PFA), we are thrilled to announce that CTSE (https://ctseprograms.org/) has offered to provide their STEP training to our PFA participants as a free 6-hour course over 3 consecutive Sundays.Â
CTSE provides relevant, evidence-based, and accessible educational programs and resources to those seeking to alleviate and reduce the burdens of stress and the negative consequences of trauma.
Date and Time : Sunday 1st, 8th and 15th September from 9.30am - 11.30 am AEST (7.30am -9.30 am Perth time; Saturdays 5.30pm - 7.30 pm New York time)
Who are we?
4u2gr0w is a platform to access the most sought-after, experienced and expert teachers who teach in small, personalised groups to nurture and inspire students in Numeracy and Literacy. Â
We have recently added Hebrew to our list of courses. Â
We provided our courses for free, within the first month of the war, to any Israeli student either in Israel or for those who left Israel. We also provided the Ministry of Education in Israel with pre-loved laptops for their displaced students.
What the course offers:
STEP is a life-changing training that provides evidence-based practices to reduce stress and prevent trauma-related problems. Through engaging presentations and stories, participants will gain innovative and memorable tools to address stress and trauma. Through facilitated groups, participants engage in activities and discussions and practice using the tools to improve their lives. STEP provides space to unpack events while building connections with other participants safely. STEP is interactive and fun and 95% of past STEP participants rated the training as "Very helpful." 72% of participants continue using the tools at least six weeks after completing the program.
“STEP was a highly relevant training I didn’t know I needed. The tools are easy to remember, and I can both use them myself and share them with patients. Thank you to the geniuses who developed this."
