    Beckon Capital

We exist to ignite potential, facilitate action and mobilise capital where it matters most – to undercapitalised SMEs. We invest in businesses and assets that generate quality financial returns while making a positive impact in the world. We believe that impact drives profit.

Beckon is a member of the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) and the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA). Beckon Capital is a Certified B Corporation and believes in the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.

    Profit through Impact

Beckon believes that businesses and projects that sustainably create responsible, positive impact are stronger and more resilient, and understanding and improving impact and ESG measures are a key driver of quality financial performance. Beckon’s approach to investing is guided by the thesis that:

    ● All businesses and projects can and should understand their holistic impact, both positive and negative.

    ● Data promotes better decisions, improved design and provides a comparative advantage for brands and projects.

    ● This understanding is intrinsically beneficial to drive sustainable businesses and projects that are financially stronger, more resilient, and greater contributors to the wellbeing of their communities, people and the planet.

    Growth Equity

Falling under the umbrella of private capital, growth equity investments are often seen as a middle ground between traditional venture capital and private equity strategies.

Beckon Capital believes there is a critical need for an Australian growth equity fund that can invest in impactful small and medium sized enterprises. Characteristic of growth equity, Beckon catalysises investment in relatively mature companies that are going through a transformational event in their lifecycle to drive growth and impact.

    Beckon Capital Presents: Sustainability Leaders

Beckon Capital has curated the most innovative and exciting businesses, solving some of the world's most pressing challenges. All of these businesses are respective leaders in their spaces and are seeking funding and partnerships to take the next big step in their development lifecycles.

    PRESENTING COMPANIES:

    Future Green Solutions

Future Green Solutions is Australia’s leading producer of sustainable, high-quality insect-based feed ingredients and agri-products for the aquaculture, pet feed and agricultural sectors. Their innovative technology utilises the Black Soldier Fly to upcycle low value organic waste into high value products, improving supply chain sustainability including reductions in waste to landfill and associated greenhouse gas emissions. Their process and products have advantages over incumbent protein meals in terms of protein levels, consistent product quality, surety of supply and sustainability, driven by their distinct IP in nutrition, husbandry and genetics.

The company is finalising a growth capital raise to expand production in response to demand, driven by the aquaculture (primarily as a substitute for fish and soybean meal) and petfood (as a high-quality protein substitute) industries. The company has a multi-year offtake agreement with Australia’s largest stock feed manufacturer and an MOU with Australia's largest waste management provider, strengthening the security of inputs.

    Flovac

An Australian founded, market leading provider of vacuum sewerage systems globally, with 350 projects in over 40 countries over the past 37 years. Their vacuum sewerage systems are a low cost and environmentally friendly alternative to gravity sewers, septic systems and low-pressure systems. The company is evolving from being domestically focussed, to globally ambitious and in control of its own intellectual property and future. The company generated solid revenues in FY21 and is on course to grow Australian revenues by 50% in FY22.

The company is seeking growth capital to vertically integrate manufacturing systems, launch their market leading IoT monitoring systems and expand their US footprint. The US market is significant with 60 million residents served by septic systems, which are often plagued with issues surrounding contamination of surface and ground waters disease-causing pathogens and nitrates, excessive nitrogen discharges to sensitive coastal waters and phosphorus pollution of inland surface waters. The demand for vacuum sewerage systems is driven by the need to, and increasing regulatory pressures, to provide ecologically and cost-friendly solutions to replace these traditional sanitation systems. The company has a strong pipeline of US projects with forecast revenues growing to US$20m+ by 2024.

    SLURRYTUB

An Australian innovation developed by a Sydney builder who saw a recurring problem on many building sites, where setting up a ‘washout area’ under the current outdated guidelines was impractical, or where parties were just taking shortcuts and washing the slurry down the drain or stormwater, or leaving harmful and unsafe mess on building sites.

SLURRYTUB provides a unique, practical and cost-effective solution to the disposal of wet trade (cement, concrete, tiling, rendering, landscaping etc) slurry, making the protection of the environment and site safety much simpler and saving water. The business has global patents, regulatory tailwinds, presence in multiple national retailers and an established D2C ecommerce channel, and has recently completed first exports to the UK and Canada. This is a global problem for which there is no practical solution. An uptake of the system on 10% of suitable Australian worksites would result in annual revenue of A$70m+.

    DIT Agtech

Founded in Australia by a self-confessed ‘hands on bushie’, DIT Agtech addresses the traditional problems with livestock supplementation and remote connectivity in harsh and isolated landscapes. Currently, supplementation for livestock is done via lick blocks which are expensive, labour intensive and inaccurate. In addition to this, the unforgiving terrain across the Australian outback makes communication a real challenge for producers.

DIT Agtech has developed a solution to this problem via technology through the development of patented IoT remote monitoring devices and supplement formulas that allow livestock to ingest essential nutrition from their drinking water. This technology platform provides livestock producers in Australia the ability to deliver supplements such as protein and phosphorus to their animals that is accurate, measurable, has improved intake rates that is cheaper and has much less wastage than traditional lick blocks. This has resulted in significantly increased average daily gain (kg) across livestock herds due to healthy production gains and increased welfare outcomes. On from this, the company are currently researching and developing the delivery of methane reducing supplements through this technology to enable industry to reduce GHG Emissions and potentially generate carbon credits. The company’s core purpose is enabling farmers to do more with less’. Australia has 26m head of cattle, when the 10% of are supplemented through the companies system, it;s annual recurring revenue will be in excess of $78m.

    Radian Energy

Radian is an Australian green tech, energy and renewable company that provides carbon neutral and green products and services into business and residential customers. Utilising industry leading proprietary technology and positioning itself both on the generation and retail side of the energy value chain, Radian is able operate in both wholesale and retail markets and deliver higher margins and longer lifetime value customers than competitors.

We are looking to raise $3 to $5m at a $33m valuation to rapidly accelerate customer acquisition, grow internal customer support teams, invest in brand building and marketing campaigns, and deployment of our technology stack.

The capital will help us deliver on our weighted pipeline of opportunities delivering an annual usage equivalent to 60,000 resident homes and $70m in revenue. To put that into comparison, Powershop, who was recently purchased by Dutch Shell company for $729m has a residential base of 185,000 customers.
