5-Day Traditional Timber Framing Workshop

Ou 5-day Traditional Timber Framing Workshop covers the full process of designing, constructing, installing and completing a Traditional Timber Frame.  This is our premier course, catered to all skill levels.  Each day is structured in a logical sequence with morning theory and afternoon practical demonstrations and hands on experience.  At the completion of the 5 days, our students assemble a completed structure and walk away with an array of new skills and the satisfaction of having helped construct a beautiful, handcrafted structure.  

The topics covered in this course, suit people of a design and professional background wanting to learn the details and processes of designing and incorporating a heavy timber structure into an architectural project, builders and carpenters wanting to add a new skill set to their range of services right down to novice woodworkers looking to experience or learn a new skill. 

Our courses are specifically tailored to the Traditional Timber Framing process in Australia using traditional techniques and joinery often associated with Europe and the US carpentry, but adapted to Australian timbers, building regulations and designs. This is a fantastic course to learn the full range of details associated with handcrafting a post and beam structure in Australia.
