2025 MARKS THE 50th ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF THE AMERICAN WAR IN VIETNAM, LAOS AND CAMBODIA. ALSO COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE VIETNAM WAR.


JOIN US ON MAY 3RD FOR A COMMEMORATION IN NEW YORK CITY*
*The venue is in lower Manhattan, in the Union Square Park area. It's accessible by the 4, 5, 6, L, N, R, Q, and W subway routes. Exact address will be shared upon registration.*

AT THIS EVENT, WE WILL:

  • Commemorate the end of the war in the Southeast Asian countries of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia
  • Examine recent changes in U.S. policy toward Vietnam, such as tariffs and trade barriers, and explore how people in the U.S. can offer solidarity
  • Connect historical anti-war efforts to the anti-imperialist movements for justice today, including global Black, Afrikan, brown and Palestinian liberation movements
  • Showcase Southeast Asian cultural performances



SPEAKERS INCLUDE:

  • Susan Schnall, President of the Board of Directors at Veterans for Peace, and member of the Agent Orange Relief and Responsibility Campaign
  • Dr. Rabab Abdulhadi, Director and Senior Scholar, Arab and Muslim Ethnicities and Diasporas Studies, San Francisco State University
  • JJ Johnson, retired labor journalist and retired editor of 1199SEIU publication "Our Life And Times"
  • Ed Ott, former Executive Director of New York City Central Labor Council
