5K FOR UKRAINE 💛💙
Event description
Ever since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, about 500 Ukrainian athletes and trainers have died defending their homes. As we approach the 1000th day of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we want to draw attention to the immense challenges the Ukrainian people have faced and the courage that has sustained them.Â
To commemorate all the heroes, who have fallen in the thousand-day long fight for freedom, we are organizing a fundraising memorial run in partnership with @rungirlsglasgow. The run will be a 5km long loop along Kelvin river, going from Ha'Penny foot bridge, around eastern part of Kelvingrove and turning left right at Om Hindu Mandir. The Queen Margaret Bridge is the finish pointÂ
The goal of the event is to support "Hospitallers" - a Ukrainian Volunteer organisation of paramedics, who provide life-saving medical care on the frontlines, helping those who need it most. Every contribution will directly aid their mission and ensure they continue their vital work in defending freedom and saving lives. Please join us in our run for freedom!
