I am a 5Rhythms® teacher In training, based in the Perth area of Western Australia.
When I found 5Rhythms, it was like pulling back a thin, dark veiled
curtain, on a landscape I felt existed but did not clearly see.
I always wanted to move, yet the cultural reality at that time was
obsessed with sporting movement. I am fascinated by how, each 5Rhythms “Wave” I move through,
continues to release the limitations of my body, it liberates me,
revealing gifts of acceptance, healing, creativity and insight. It helps me tune into my fragility, care and needs in a forgiving way.
My cultural heritage is English/Italian but Australia has been my
home for 25 years, I feel deeply connected to the culture and energy in this land.
For me, holding space for this community to express the inquiry of
our movement, whilst being held by our combined wisdom, is an honour.
Integrity, compassion and patience are some of the core values which
help me provide safety for each dancer, to truly experience the
presence of their being. Bringing us into our bodies, whilst
witnessing and supporting one another.
The blessing is, to be a part of this dynamic community of global
movers, I have made lasting friendships along the way.
Ron Hagendoorn and Mirjam Van Hasselt are my generous mentors,
supporting me with their years of practice as the path unfolds.
