The Lichen Hearts, Babename, Cosmic Cocktail @ FREMONT ABBEY
Event description
The Lichen Hearts: www.instagram.com/lichenhearts.band
The Lichen Hearts is a two-piece set up: drums and guitar, with a driving, post-punk/riff-rock sound.
Babename: www.instagram.com/babename_theband
Babename is an emerging act in the Seattle scene. In their forthcoming debut album, singer-songwriter Jamie Irby finds themself exploring periods of transformation and transition. Through capturing tender stories about desire, grief, and self-discovery, their music invites listeners to join them in the process of personal becoming and the journey towards being seen. They find poetry both in the mundane and in moments of monumental shifts, in the words that don't yet know how to be spoken, and the liminal spaces between past and future selves. Powered by drummer Alex Blackburn (The Shape of Color, Cult Classics), bassist Jessica Wetter (cryptobebelem, Ass Honey, etc.), and lead guitarist Dylan Schillinger, they draw on several generations of rock, punk, folk and jazz to create a sound uniquely their own.
Cosmic Cocktail: www.instagram.com/cosmiccocktail.band
Cosmic Cocktail was borne out of the 2024 Rain City Rock Camp lotto bands program! Luna (guitar), Mel (bass), and Steph (vox/clarinet) had such a great time sailing the Milky Way that we decided to keep the band going.
We were so excited and fortunate to meet Alex in the 2025 lotto bands showcase and welcome them as our drummer!
We have a psychedelic vibe inspired by '90s trip hop bands and love to shred.
