About the course
During the course, we will meet monthly for six months. As we build community, we will support each other in our explorations and dive into the gifts death has to teach us about life.
Whatever stage you are at, you are welcome. We are conditioned to look away from death, but in this course you are encouraged to contemplate it.
Our meetings will include guided meditations, inquiry, group discussions, and experiential/creative exercises. There will also be home practices, reading, reflections, and opportunities to connect with friends or buddies between sessions.
This course encourages us to wake up and live life more fully through the exploration of death as a spiritual practice—not to scare us, but to help us see the preciousness of life, celebrate it, explore mortality, and lessen death anxiety.
“We do not practice dying in order to prepare for a single moment called death. We practice dying to awaken to life itself.”
— Stephen Levine
