6th Annual Winter Solstice Hike & Vigil

Every December 21 since 2020, the Ward 8 Woods family has gathered in the winter woods to mark the shortest day and longest night of the year.

This year, we'll attune ourselves to natural cycles while exploring the beautiful uplands of Oxon Run Parkway. We'll take in the stark beauty of bare trees and reflect on the year past while watching the early sunset on the western horizon before renewing our spirits with camp hire, hot chocolate, tea, and home-made cookies.
