Stephanie Yamamoto & Jon Andrew Franklin's (STANKLIN) Birthday Bash Dance Party @ FREMONT ABBEY
Event description
3 hours + 2 musicians + 1 dance floor = a magical night to remember. Help Stephanie say goodbye to her 20s and welcome Jon to his mid-life crisis.
Find out what happens when two extreme extroverts host a public birthday extravaganza and experience a night of live music, partner dancing, and connection with friends and strangers alike.
What is partner dancing you say? Imagine Dancing With the Stars but no choreography, a floor full of dancers, and YOU are the star. Bring a partner, a friend, or meet someone new on the dance floor. There will be an introductory fusion partner dance lesson from 7:15 - 8pm to get you movin’ and groovin’.
Not a dancer? No problem! We’ll have some seating available to watch the show.
STANKLIN is a music project led by multi-talented performers Stephanie Yamamoto and Jon Andrew Franklin, bringing a fusion of live-looped music, interactive dance elements, and storytelling, creating an immersive atmosphere to engage both dancers and non-dancers. Their combined extroversion superpowers will rescue you from a lonely night of boredom and their sweet sweet beets beats will leave you stank facing for more.

As the founder of the Emmy-Nominated band Streetlight Cadence, Jon has been captivating audiences with his story-driven songwriting and electrifying violin performances for over 15 years. A true street performer at heart, he has transformed his solo act into a looping sensation, well-known to anyone who frequents Seattle Farmers Markets. Jon’s music transcends genres, blending folk, pop, and cinematic storytelling, making every performance a deeply engaging experience for both dancers and listeners.
Stephanie Yamamoto:
A lifelong performer in the Japanese taiko drum community, Stephanie has also spent nearly 15 years as a partner dancer and fell in love with playing live music for dancers in 2018. Under the moniker Loops & Boops, she has built a reputation for her engaging vocal loops, creative parodies, and infectious energy. Whether making audiences laugh, melt, or get blissfully lost on the dance floor, Stephanie’s rhythmic intuition and playful style bring every show to life.
