7 & 8 year old Learn to Ride - September 2026
Description
Bring your student to the Bike Fun Learn to Ride class & get them started on a life on two wheels. We'll work on basic bicycle operation, balance, and control.
This class is designed for students who have never pedaled without training wheels.
Bring a helmet, a snack, and some water. (We will have extra snacks and water.) Bike Fun has bicycles and helmets to use for students who need them. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather. Make sure to have the student wear shoes that hold the heel in (no flip-flops or crocs).
Limited to 10 students; sliding scale ticket fee. If you need assistance with the registration fee, please contact us.
Caregivers are welcome to stay and watch and learn - bring a chair and hang out with us.

This event is WEATHER PENDING. We will be outdoors. Attendees will be contacted the day before the event if the event is rescheduled due to weather. All attendees will have the option to transfer their attendance to a rescheduled event. If weather forces a cancellation during the class, the class will be considered complete if more than half the class time has elapsed.
FAQs
- My child is 6 (or 9) - can they enroll?
We ask that students have turned 7 or are still 8 by the time this class runs.
- Will the class be cancelled if it's raining?
Our weather and safety policy page stipulates that we will cancel classes due to thunder and lightning. For beginning riders, we prefer to have dry conditions but light, inconsistent drizzle is acceptable.
If a small group class completes 50% of the class instruction time before needing to be called for weather, that class is considered complete.
If we need to reschedule the class due to weather, we'll either reschedule your registration to the new date or offer a refund.
If the class runs but your student does not attend, you will not receive a refund.
We try to make a call on a class for weather the day before but sometimes it's too tricky to confirm. We appreciate your patience!
