Join us for a screening of 7 Seasons, followed by a fireside chat with Director Clancy Lestor, founder of Bees and Blossoms.
7 Seasons' Documentary celebrates Indigenous knowledge and the young people at the forefront of climate action. Directed by Clancy Lester, the doco aims to restore our connection to nature, and our connection to each other as it delves into the climate crisis in Melbourne, spotlighting the Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung wisdom through incredible videography is Max Shannon, in his first ever commercial project.
Featured in this from-the-heart doco is Jaeden Williams-Briggs, proud Yalukit Willam man of the Boonwurrung; Kai Lane, a proud Yorta Yorta and Barapa Barapa man; Ky-ya Nicholson, proud Wurundjeri, Dja Dja Wurrung and Ngurai illum Wurrung woman; Dr Kit "Bee Babette" Prendergast and finally Dr Linden Ashcroft at University of Melbourne, specialist in weather and climate science.

Clancy Lester is a native bee researcher, founder of the Bees and Blossoms social enterprise and prolific science communicator. Through Bees and Blossoms, Clancy creates native bee habitats, delivers educational workshops and advocates for nature-based climate solutions in urban and regional Australia. Talk to Clancy about native bee conservation, native plants for pollinators, the importance of implementing Indigenous ecological knowledge, using social media for social good and impact-led business.
MC - Georgia Watson
Georgia Watson is a science communicator with a background in Antarctic science and disturbance ecology, focusing on how climate impacts are already reshaping ecosystems. In 2023, Georgia launched Bright Ecology, an inspire and empower people to act for climate and biodiversity through trusted science communication, education and community engagement.
