The opening night of the 75th Anniversary Celebration which will be the largest California State Lifeguard event to date. Night 1 includes a reception, historical displays, a luau buffet dinner, speeches, and a historical movie presentation of "Evolution: The History of California's State Park Lifeguard Service" by Mike Brousard. The evening concludes with live music by The Knotty Knees. The location is Sahara Sand Bar & Event Tent on the sand at Magnolia & PCH: 21601 PCH, Huntington Beach, CA 92646 (Magnolia & PCH)

The first-ever Lifeguard Achievement Award Ceremony presented by The San Onofre Parks Foundation and the California State Lifeguard Association. This special evening will honor individual California State Lifeguard Legends who have made significant impacts throughout their careers. The event will feature historical displays, dinner, an 'In Memoriam' tribute movie, and an awards ceremony concluding with the "Robert J. Isenor Award" presented to outstanding individuals. Deadline to book your tickets for Night 2 is Friday, July 4th. Event Venue: Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa 21500 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach, CA 92648 Event Parking: There is no self-parking at the Hyatt. Valet Parking at the Hyatt is an additional charge of $25. There is parking in the Huntington Beach City lots directly across the street for $15. You can walk to the Hyatt via the pedestrian bridge over the coast highway. Event Hours: 5:00 - 11:00 pm (check-in and social 5:00 - 5:45 pm with event starting at 6:00 pm. sharp). No Host Bar provided. Dinner: Salad (Spinach Salad, Yellow Wax Beans, Purple Ninja Radish, Pine Nuts, Manchego Cheese, and Toasted Sorghum, Apricot Thyme Vinaigrette), Entrée, and Dessert (Crème Brulee with Fresh Macarons).
