Crunch Time! A 7PT AID IQ
Description
We're hosting another Invitational Qualifier for the AID Invitational 2 Lotus 2 Furious event hosted by the MTG Bazaar.
A massive shout-out to Pat & the team for having us on board.
This event will take place on
Saturday 17th October
This event will take place at
Alfred Deakin High School, 111 Denison Street, Deakin
This event will be held at
Competitive REL, with decklists required
The event space will be open from
10:30 for registration, first round at 11:00
A few quick points to be across...
A judge will be present on the day to confirm legality of your deck and handle issues during game play.
Your deck must contain 100% authentic cards - given the invitational event is being held at Competitive REL and is not allowing proxy cards, this event will not either.
Given the nature of the event as being community-run, the prizing on offer outside of the standard packs p/player will depend on the total amount of entrants. Prizing (cash, sealed product, et cetera) outside of the costs will be awarded to players in the top cut.
Decklists should be emailed to leekspin@live.com.au ahead of the event starting. Any player without a submitted or an ineligble decklist will receive the appropriate penalty.
For full transparency, our costs include...
Hire fee for the event space ($35/h), participation awards for players, compensation for having a judge to officiate Competitive REL ($150 to $200 p/day). Any money after the costs will be redistributed to the players.
It is expected that with 24 players at entry of $30p/h there is an overflow of approximately $200-$300 to redistrubute to the top cut, with this increasing with attendance. Ideally players in the top cut at a minimum have their entry reimbursed in prizing.
Invites to the event on offer are based on attendance.
8-15 = 1 invite
16-31 = 2 invites
32-63 = 4 invites
65+ = Top 8 players invited
