80 Years of Second Chances
An evening of Second Chances
Eighty years ago, Sydney Dogs & Cats Home opened its doors with one goal: to give abandoned animals a second chance.
Since then, we've reunited thousands of lost pets with their families, given animals a safe place to land, and found second chances for the ones who needed them most.
None of this would have been possible without people who love and support the cause.
On Friday 16 October 2026, join us from 7pm at Linseed House, The Grounds of Alexandria, to celebrate the animals and community who have shaped us, while raising vital funds to give more vulnerable animals the care, safety and new beginnings they deserve.
Whether you've adopted, fostered, volunteered, donated, or simply believe every animal deserves a second chance, this night is for you.

A Night At Linseed House
We've chosen somewhere as special as the milestone we're celebrating.
Once a working linseed oil factory, Linseed House has been transformed into one of Sydney's most striking event spaces with soaring 10-metre ceilings, crystal chandeliers, art deco details, and golden light pouring through arched windows.
It's warm, atmospheric and, for one night only, a gathering place for people who believe every animal deserves a second chance.
