A Britpop Collective: Stone The Roses, Long Way South and The fReds do The Bridge
THE Stone Roses live experience plus '60s-'00s British bangers
A night of UK anthems and bangers!
Stone The Roses will be playing all the Roses tunes you love, supported by Long Way South playing UK indie anthems from the 70s onwards, and the fReds covering the very best Mod, Britpop, New Wave & Punk classics.
Fresh from a national tour supporting noasis, and their own gigs in Geelong and Melbourne, Stone the Roses feature some of the finest independent musicians in Australia who play the songs of the Stone Roses with passion, faith, and flair.
They bring the Stone Roses live experience to kaleidoscopic stunners from the Roses' classic debut album (voted the Greatest British Album of All time by the New Musical Express and the Observer) including: "I Wanna Be Adored", "She Bangs the Drums", "Waterfall", "Made of Stone", "This is The One" and "I Am the Resurrection".
They also deliver the funk/dance epic "Fools Gold", which broke the Roses Down Under, early singles such as “Elephant Stone” and “Sally Cinnamon”, B-side gems such as “Mersey Paradise”, and hits from the Roses' criminally under-rated “Second Coming” album, including "Love Spreads" and "Ten Storey Love Song".
Long Way South are a band of Sydney-based ex-pat Brits who only know how to play stonking UK anthems. They are in constant demand playing all over Sydney, ripping through your favourite UK indie and Britpop anthems from the 70s, 80s, 90s, on. There'll be some Clash, Jam, Smiths and Cure, plus Oasis, Blur, & Arctic Monkeys—all bangers guaranteed to have you singing your heart out.
The fReds are 4/5 Poms with one mission! Covering the very best Mod, Britpop, New Wave & Punk classics. Featuring songs by The Jam, Blur & The Who plus a whole lot more. Make sure you arrive early to catch them and enjoy everything the night offers.
