We invite you to contribute to a discussion about the future of volunteering as we prepare for International Volunteer Year 2026. The global body for volunteering – IAVE – has asked Volunteering New Zealand to input views from our part of the world.

Your opinions will also help us as we write our Decade of State of Volunteering report (2016 – 26).

Be part of the discussion about:

  • How has volunteering been impacted by recent events e.g. Covid pandemic, cost-of-living pressures. What changes are you seeing in response?

  • What do you envision for the future sustainability and development of volunteering?

  • Who could help make this happen, and what roles and responsibilities do they have?
