Join Associate Professor Madeleine Dobson (she/her) for the workshop A Child’s-Eye View: Methods for Meaningfully Engaging with Young Children. Madeleine holds a Ph.D. and B.Ed. (ECE/Hons.) and is an Associate Professor in the School of Education, Associate Investigator at the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child, Associate Editor of Early Child Development & Care, Ambassador for The Valuing Children Initiative, and Chair of the Humanities Inclusion & Belonging Committee.
This engaging workshop will explore practical, rights-based methods to amplify children’s voices and meaningfully involve them in decisions that affect their lives. It is designed to equip professionals working with young children—such as those in community services, early education, and primary schools—with inclusive and caring approaches to engagement.
