A community engagement approach to working with CALD communities (Redlands)
Event description
There are various reasons why culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities do not access support services at the same rate as the broader population. Organisations therefore cannot rely on people from culturally diverse backgrounds to walk through the door but instead need to think outside traditional service models towards more proactive, flexible and targeted approaches.
About the workshop:
This workshop will explore how community engagement can be a powerful approach when working with diverse communities. The workshop will focus on key considerations when planning and implementing an engagement process as well as exploring useful tools, frameworks and principles.
