Sun, 8 Nov, 1pm - 4pm AEST

Description

For our next Conversation, Aunty Mary and Leanne Levinge are inviting us to meet on Wangerriburra Country.

We’ll be getting “Down to Earth”  in our explorations of the meaning of Place and the Aboriginal ethos of Relationality.

Our discussions will take place in the company of the many other-than-human entities that, as Aunty Mary reminds us, means “You are not alone in the world”. And we will hear how the nursery and the growing plots on this place are trialling ways to build our own relationality, by growing our understanding of the web of relations among the other-than-human inhabitants around us.

The location is a 45-minute drive south of Brisbane - we’ll send you the address after you book. We are arranging a carpool, so get back to us before you book (Australia.becoming.admin@gmail.com) and we’ll see what’s possible.

Aunty Mary’s Conversation, the garden tour and our discussions will be from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. We’ll have tea and coffee waiting for you as you arrive, and a break for afternoon tea. Feel free to bring anything you’d like to share.

Remember, this is a farm, so take reasonable care as you walk about and bring a hat, sunscreen, a water bottle and walking boots. And a camping chair if you have one.

Looking forward to seeing you out here!
