Event description

A Courageous, Connected and Capable Workforce
Empowered through Strategic Workforce Planning

WorkUP received a great response to our recent workforce survey, and we are excited to share the findings with you.

The WorkUP workforce survey data highlights the many strengths of our workforce. It tells a compelling story of a sector powered by a passionate, capable, and deeply committed workforce - people who show up every day to support safety, justice, and healing, often in the face of significant complexity.

These insights from the survey provide a vital evidence base to inform the development of our strategic workforce plan for 2025-27.  We are beginning this planning process with this online launch, followed by regional workshops and focus groups, culminating in a statewide symposium in early 2026. These activities form part of a collaborative, inclusive process to co-create the Strategic Workforce Plan for the sector - one that responds to workforce needs, builds capability and capacity, and ultimately supports meaningful outcomes for service users.

Overall, the strategic workforce plan aims to empower and sustain a workforce that is courageous, connected, and capable.

Join us at the launch to:

  • Hear positive insights from WorkUP’s 2025 workforce survey

  • Find out how you can contribute to the development of the Strategic Workforce Plan by:

  • Co-creating initiatives that build capability and capacity

  • Contributing to the development of strategies that support individuals, teams, and organisations to thrive

Alisa Hall and John Turrisi from WorkUP Queensland, alongside Dr John Chen from Infinite Potential, will share inspiring perspectives and takeaways from the 2025 workforce survey - bringing to light the strengths, challenges and opportunities within our sector.

Every conversation matters. Your voice is critical.
