Headliner Mundek
Mundek is a comedian and frustrating individual from Idaho. Whether he is on stage or not he mostly talks about things like sweatshops, our government’s crimes against humanity, the church’s crimes against humanity and his significant other dying of cancer. Mundek’s tragedy based humor has earned him endearing nicknames that he didn’t just make up himself like “The Rubber Chicken Kid” and “The Laugh Train.” When his horde of dedicated fans, who totally exist but just don’t have Instagram or TikTok right now because they need to lay low, find out Mundek is coming to town they flood the streets chanting “Chuga-chuga-chuga-chuga-CHOO-CHOO! The Laugh Train is pulling into the Western Collective station!” In the interest of vagueness it must be said that he has worked on various projects, opened for some famous people, won several competitions, been featured in many comedy festivals and performed in impressive sounding venues and/or cities. None of this matters; no one in their right mind is going to read a comedy bio and say “When this guy was nineteen years-old he won the Boise Satellite of the 2007 HBO Lucky 21 Comedy Competition? I have to see this!” The best way to market one of his shows is to draw people away from his troubling personality and instead focus their attention on the fact that he is 6’3’’ and has cool hair. Also, sometimes I just lie and say Mundek writes for Jimmy Fallon because, honestly, most people don’t even really check.
