Are you applying to study Medicine in 2026?
Join us in Burnie for a Day in the Life of a Medical Student. Find out what it’s really like studying medicine at the Tasmanian School of Medicine, University of Tasmania.
Date: Friday 18th July 2025
Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm
Venues: spend the morning at University of Tasmania, Cradle Coast campus, and the afternoon at Rural Clinical School, Burnie (co-located between NWRH and NWPH).
Catering: morning tea and lunch provided - please let us know any dietary requirements when prompted during registration.
Transport: there will be a free bus available for those travelling from Launceston (departing Launceston General Hospital at 8:00am) and Devonport (departing Mersey Community Hospital at 9:15am).
Attendees will undertake clinically relevant case-based learning scenarios led by our local team of clinical teachers, meet current students, and have questions about the 2026 entry application process answered.
Who is this for?
Year 12 and postgraduate-pathway applicants are welcome.
Please note you are required to have sat, or be booked to sit, your relevant application test to attend this program. These are UCAT for Year 12 applicants or GAMSAT for postgraduate applicants.
