A Day of Clowning with April Garro

Are you interested in clowning? Or do you identify as a clown already? Any and All are welcome to this one-day intro into the world of clowning! Join April, your clown host, for 4+ hours of silly, delightful exploration of Clown! In this workshop we will be using physicality, emotional expression, audience engagement, games, and authentic play to help you become a more dynamic performer and more joyful human. This afternoon workshop of fun will help you get out of your head and into your body to help cultivate greater creative expression. Come let your beautiful silly nature shine!

Class Size: 16 Maximum

About the instructor: April Garro is a Clown, Improvisor, Comedian, and Scare Actor from the Bay Area. April has performed at SF Sketch Fest, Jokeland, All Out Comedy, and has worked 10 years at Pirates of Emerson, a Haunted House Theme Park in Pleasanton. She has training in clowning by former Cirque Du Soleil Clown, Ron Campbell, The award winning comedy artist, Deanna Fleysher, and has taken many workshops by Dana Merwin and fellow Bay Area Clowns. April has been practicing Improv since 2019 and Clown since 2017.
