Event description

Ever wondered how scientists recognise individual dolphins or track them in the wild? Join this one-hour, hands-on workshop to learn the science behind dolphin research!

Discover how fin identification helps us as scientists tell dolphins apart and how mark-recapture techniques estimate populations. Perfect for anyone who loves marine biology, this session is also a great intro to the Cetacean Sisters program – a unique opportunity for girls to explore science through dolphin and whale research and held on Phillip Island and the Mornington Peninsula.

Suitable for any adult with an interest in marine science or science!
