Perth Independent National Gas Day of Action
We need you.
On 19 September, Perth Independent is joining community groups across Australia for a National Day of Action demanding a fair go from our gas.
A handful of corporations have benefited from a system that gives Australians a poor return on the gas we all own. Meanwhile, polling shows strong support across the political spectrum for a 25% tax on gas exports.
We can change this.
Our goal is to collect 1,000 signatures across Perth and take that message directly to our local federal member, Patrick Gorman MP.
We need volunteers to get out into the community, have street conversations and collect signatures.
No experience needed. We’ll provide the training, script, petition and a team to work alongside. All you need to bring is a smile and a willingness to have a conversation.
Every signature adds pressure. Every conversation grows the movement. And the bigger we are, the harder we are to ignore.
