A Fresh Taste of High-Tech Anthropology® (Virtual)

Price FREE Get tickets

Event description

Bring your snacks and your trickiest questions for our High-Tech Anthropologists® to this virtual tour experience. After they give a brief overview of our "HTA" process, they’ll open the floor for questions.

Our High-Tech Anthropologists® study end users in their own work environment in order to design software that best meets users’ goals. During this 60-minute panel discussion experience, you’ll get a taste of Menlo’s High-Tech Anthropology® process. Learn about the benefits of observing the end user, assessing designs with the end user, and creating workflows and other visual outputs to capture and distill information. These steps build the foundation of user-friendly designs tailored to the target persona(s) – for products or services that are actually adopted, and even enJOYed.

This panel is great for people of many different roles and levels, offering a new way to view users of any product or service. While all are welcome, the following groups may have a particular interest in learning from our HTAs!

  • Product managers and product owners who have an interest in their end user and/or are evaluating off-the-shelf products
  • Development teams looking to mitigate design risk before diving into the coding phase
  • Teams transitioning to a "product-focused" organization
  • Designers looking for inspiration and connection with peers
  • Managers and directors responsible for customer journeys
  • Anyone who has "design" or "oversee customer experience" in their job description

You will:

  • Gain a new perspective on how to approach design projects
  • Get access to subject matter experts you may not have at your organization
  • Learn from others’ questions for ideas you may not have considered
  • Find out what "High-Tech Anthropology®" really is!
  • Meet some Menlonians!

The format will be casual and interactive. Once you register, we’ll send a little homework for you to help get your questions ready. We look forward to seeing you!
