Event description

Are you a young person with a disability – or supporting a young person – and wondering what comes after school?

Join us for a dynamic and inspiring employment and education forum designed to connect young adults (up to age 30) with the tools, knowledge, and networks to thrive beyond the classroom.

What’s on offer:

  • Hear from guest speakers and a panel of experts about real-life employment journeys, support systems, and pathways to work, further education, and volunteering.

  • Discover how volunteering can build skills and open doors to paid employment.

  • Learn how to access NDIS, SLES funding, and programs like Be Your Own Boss and PATH/Now You’re 16/18.

  • Be inspired by lived experience stories from people with disability who’ve turned volunteering into meaningful careers.

Speakers & Presenters from:

  • Parent to Parent (P2P)

  • Carers Queensland

  • Central Queensland University (CQU)

  • Local success stories from young people just like you!

Cost:

  • $10 – School Students

  • $25 – General Admission

  • FREE entry for a support person with a valid Companion Card (must be shown at registration)

This is your chance to explore work, study, and volunteering options – all in one place.
