Greens for Wingecarribee campaign launch

Event description

Help us launch our campaign for positive change!

On 14 September we have a chance to elect a new kind of councillor.

So many of us want to live in a community where we can live close to nature, enjoy art and sports, walk to town, and meet a friend or neighbour when we get there.

But unchecked developers and disengaged councillors have meant we have fast-disappearing green spaces and habitat, car-centric culture, and more houses but less connection.

Meet our lead candidate

Heather Champion is a local mum, non-profit worker, and passionate community builder - and she wants to be your new representative on Wingecarribee Shire Council.

This is a chance to get behind a young woman who wants to work hard for real change - to build an inclusive, thriving community, and to protect our home for the future.

Join us for a laid-back Sunday afternoon

Come along to our kid-friendly, snack-heavy BBQ campaign launch!

Food will be vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free-friendly, and there will be a fenced playground available for kids to roam safely.

This is a chance to connect with like-minded locals who are excited about building a big, fun, inclusive campaign to get Heather elected.

We're thrilled to have NSW MP Cate Faehrmann joining us

Feminist, drug reform advocate, wildlife warrior and long-time environmental campaigner, Cate has been a long-time champion for community representation in State Parliament.

Come along to chat to Cate and share ideas on how we can make our shire and our state a greener, fairer place.

Register now!

The only reason we need to ticket this is a to get an idea of numbers for catering. We would LOVE to see you there regardless.

This event is free, and all are welcome.

See you there!
