A guided flora walk of the Eric Singleton Wetlands

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join Glenn Cook, from the Wildflower Society of Western Australia, Perth Branch, for an early evening stroll through Eric Singleton Reserve, adjacent to Environment House in King William St Bayswater. Glenn will be able to identify the myriad of local flora which has been reintroduced into the degraded reserve and which has shown remarkable growth ( and a return of biodiversity) since the commencement of work in 2015)

Initiated by the City of Bayswater, the Eric Singleton Bird Sanctuary (ESBS) Wetland Rehabilitation Project was designed to remediate a severely degraded, contaminated, water consuming wetland with limited environmental and social value into a productive, nutrient stripping wetland that is an outstanding community and environmental asset. We urge you to consider a donation to the Wildflower Society Bushland Conservation Fund to further restoration work in this and many other parks around Perth. ( See details at end of booking process)
