A Little Bit of Nonsense — Fool’s First Step with Alicia Gonzalez
What are YOU doing this Sunday evening?!
Freo local, fringe-performer, and all-round noodle, Emma aka 'Dandy MaGee' of The Hairy Godmothers has just recently returned home from a year of studying clown and theatre in France.
Keen to keep that playful ball rolling, she’s biting the bit for more fun and games here in the Perth Boorloo community! That’s why she jumped for joy when the epic clown teacher, Alicia Gonzalez, from The Clown Institute in Sydney, offered to teach a clown and fooling workshop at short notice while she’s in town!!
Spontaneous much? You better believe it! 🤠 Yeehaa!!
Let's Play!
We’re going in, folks! We’re committing to the bit and we’re looking for 8-16 keen participants to join us THIS Sunday 20th September, 5pm-7:30pm for Alicia’s 2.5 hour workshop “A Little Bit of Nonsense — Fool’s First Step”.
A more brief and relaxed version of Alicia’s more intensive and immersive workshops, “A Little Bit of Nonsense — Fool’s First Step” is a mischievous taster of the fun stuff, designed to ignite that sparkle in your eye and get you feeling more playful, silly, and connected. This workshop explores presence, movement, timing, play, and connection through simple solo, partner, and group games and exercises.
No experience is necessary whatsoever, and whether you’re a performer or not, so long as you are a curious human who’s enthusiastic to better connect with their silly side, this workshop is for you!
This workshop is perfect for:
performers, creatives, and curious humans
people wanting to reconnect with spontaneity and play
anyone interested in physical theatre and clowning
