Event description
A Monument to Triggs Two is a new large-scale contemporary site based participatory art project by SA artist Henry Jock Walker in collaboration with OSCA – Open Space Contemporary Arts. The project encourages creative thinking and environmental action via an ongoing series of public events and workshops with local surfing, artistic and residential communities.Come along and be part of a growing initiative that explores the
interweaving of art, surf culture, grass roots recycling and
environmental practices.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Surfing with the neoprene abstracts (10am), brainstorming painting on the van, surfboard sculpture, old surf clothing quilt making, one off printed and patched recycled tees for sale, live music, exciting talks and more!
Couch talks with Henry will take place from 12.30-1.30 and cover topics such as seaweed farming centred on First Nations knowledge systems, protecting our waterways, river health, coastal land restoration and Good Bank Garden; a platform for art, gardening and community arts to connect
