A Morning to Breathe with Helen du Cros and Kat Pring
Description
Description
A morning where breath meets sound, movement meets stillness, and people find their own rhythm, in the company of others, guided by Helen du Cros of A Space to Breathe, in a special collaboration with Kat Pring on live harp.
Arrival
We begin with tea and a little time to settle, with conversation if you’d like it. You’re welcome to stay in your own space.
Movement
Slow, intentional yoga to create space in the body, noticing the space between the ribs, the weight of the body against the ground, the pockets of tension and ease. No alterations needed. Time to move, pause and notice.
Noticing the Breath
A subtle, guided breath practice: nasal, conscious, connected, with space to notice the breath’s rhythm and the body softening at its own pace. Not work, not something to master, and not aiming for any particular experience. You are never expected to push, hold, or force the breath. With invitations to follow the guidance, return to your natural breathing pattern, or rest your attention on something that feels supportive for you. Fully guided from start to finish. At your own pace. Always.
Sound
Kat’s live harp accompanies the morning, its resonant tones inviting the body to soften, the breath to find its own rhythm and the pace of the day to ease, if that feels right for you.
As the practices gradually merge, Kat weaves harp, voice and other instruments around the ethereal sounds of the crystal singing bowls, gong and percussion played by Helen. Together, they create a rich, immersive soundscape, offering space for listening, rest and perhaps a sense of renewal. There is nothing to do but receive.
Reiki (optional)
Offered as a gentle layer of support, usually at the end of the yoga or breath practice, with hands hovering or a light touch on the head & feet only if you'd like it. Choice cards on your mat let you decide, and you can change your mind at any time.
Provided in the space
Everything you need is here: a mat, a bolster, blankets, blocks, and an optional eye mask, if you'd like one. The space has a beautiful wooden floor, with sofas and cushions if that feels more supportive for you. Wear your comfies. Nothing to bring, nothing to organise, though you're always welcome to bring a journal or your own extra layer of comfort if that helps you feel more comfortable.
Integration
Fruit, warm tea and unhurried conversation, with space for your own experience to settle, held gently within the group.
No experience needed. We each arrive holding something different, and you’re welcome to take part in whatever way works for you today. The group is intentionally small, with space for individual needs and different ways of participating. Your pace is always the right pace.
What guests have said
“Sunday was amazing. It truly felt like a space to breathe and so much more. The way you structured and delivered the two and a half hours was incredible... Everything flowed so beautifully.”
Roberta Aloia, guest at A Morning to Breathe
Helen, your facilitator
I'm drawn to creating spaces where people who give so much can soften, take a breath, and turn a little of that care towards themselves.
A gentle, grounded approach, with space to notice what's happening within and around us, without needing to fix, change or become anything else.
Breathwork practitioner, yoga teacher, Reiki teacher and sound practitioner, trained in trauma-informed practice and an IICT member.
Mum of two, swim teacher & perpetually curious.
Kat Pring, harp, voice and other instruments
Weaver of sound, harpist, composer, lifelong student and sound practitioner. Guided by a deep curiosity about sound and its place in our lives, and a desire to create opportunities for connection, stillness and authentic expression.

FAQs
- What should I wear?
Whatever is comfortable for lying down and moving gently. Your comfies are perfect.
- What if I feel emotional or uncomfortable?
That can happen, and it's okay. You're always welcome to rest, sit up, move, step out or let me know. You never need to explain.
- Is this suitable if I'm pregnant?
Pregnancy is listed in the contraindications for this morning, which includes a guided breath practice and a long sound experience. Please read the Wellbeing & Safety information below and speak with me before booking, and check with your midwife or doctor.
- What if I fall asleep, snore or make a noise?
Completely normal, and welcome. There’s no judgement here, and whatever your body does is okay.
- Will there be photos?
No photos are taken during the practice. Afterwards, over fruit and tea, I may ask if you’d like to be in a photo, and it’s always your choice.
