A Painful Story: Album Cinema Showing

Sam Podmore is a young Zimbabwean Pop and Electronic artist and producer whose relationship with music began in an unexpected place, sitting at an old grand piano on a family holiday. Now, four years later, his debut album, A Painful Story, is an intimate exploration of loss, homesickness and the search for peace amidst the complexities of cultural change.

Moving between Afro, EDM, hip hop and analogue pop, Sam invites listeners into a story that is deeply his own while remaining relatable in its themes of belonging, change and connection. A Painful Story is ultimately an exploration of what we carry with us, what we leave behind, and how we learn to make peace with the places and people that shape us.

This exclusive showing of A Painful Story, music, visuals and all is the first time the world gets to see the creativity, hard work and production mastery on display, in a one-off pre-release showing that you don't want to miss.
