A Ribbon Through Time: A History of the Community Response to HIV in Western Australia (1985-2025)

Join WAAC for a retrospective exhibition commemorating WAAC’s 40th anniversary. Developed in collaboration with West Pride Archives, this display highlights four decades of advocacy, activism, and community-led responses to HIV in WA. Visitors will explore campaign materials, posters, newspaper articles, and photographs that document the fight against HIV stigma and the evolution of healthcare and policy. The exhibition also honours the resilience of individuals and organisations that have shaped the HIV response, providing an educational and historical perspective for future generations.

This event is part of the Boorloo Heritage Festival and was made possible by sponsorship from the City of Perth.
