A Room of One's Own

A Room of One's Own is a collaborative examination of interior living through the applied arts, featuring artists Eleanor Amor, Agatha Gothe-Snape, Jennifer Mathews, Michelle Nikou and Nat Penney.

Inspired by the interdisciplinary approach of the Bloomsbury Group and research into the Powerhouse Museum’s collection, the artists work across sculpture, furniture and functional objects, blurring the line between art, design and the decorative.

For Adelaide Design Week 2026, this presentation will include both completed artworks and works in progress. A Room of One's Own is a collaborative project that began in late 2025, supported by the South Australian Government through CreateSA. The project will culminate in a final group exhibition in early 2027.

Access

fab workshop is a wheelchair-accessible venue. There are limited car parks available at the front of the building at 12 King William St, Kent Town SA 5067. On-street parking is also available on King William St and Rundle St.
