A Talk from Curly Community Garden & Crop Swap Meet
Event description
Come along to hear all about Curly Community Garden, an exemplar of the creative use of available space to grow abundant and diverse produce in a sustainable way, all while connecting the local community!
We’ll be setting up a CROP SWAP table for attendees so feel free to bring along any herbs, produce, cuttings, seeds etc. that you wish to swap or share!
We’ll be hearing about Curly Community Garden's vision to create a space that is:
- Community Focused: where people of all ages, abilities, cultures, races, religions, sexualities and genders are welcome
- Environmentally Sustainable: with all produce grown organically and recycled materials used where possible
- Educational: promoting learning, individual growth and the development and sharing of new skills
- A Friendly, Peaceful, Natural Environment that promotes social interaction, mild physical activity and healthy living
We’ll also gain an understanding of the realistic ‘ins and outs’ of keeping a successful community garden going.
Doors open at 7:30 to grab yourself a refreshment before the presentation. Prior to this, why not take a stroll around the Curly Community Garden just next door to the venue.
Small donation at the door ($5 recommended) for non-PNB members. Free entry for members.
