A Taste of Denmark - Christmas Edition

Learn to make what every Dane has for Christmas dinner, then sit down and enjoy it with others! 

We will get a taste of Denmark with our host Hanne Badger. Originally from Denmark, Hanne left with her family as a teenager and after a few years in Australia, came to New Zealand, where she has lived for the past 30 years. Hanne will share Danish Christmas culture and cuisine with us and will be assisted in the kitchen by Kate White who has experienced many Danish Christmases after first living in Denmark as an exchange student almost 30 years ago.

Get some new recipe ideas, learn about another country and their Christmas traditions. Enjoy a relaxed and social event making a delicious dinner which you will enjoy at the end! 

The menu will include:

• Pork roast - gf df
• Red Cabbage - gf df, v
• Caramel glazed potatoes - gf, df, v
• Waldorf Salad - gf, vt
• Risalamande / Danish Christmas Rice pudding with cherry sauce - vt

(v= vegan, vt= vegetarian, df= dairy free, gf= gluten free)
All but the pork is suitable for vegetarians, and all but the dessert is gf.
