A to Z of Dementia Care: Author Talk
Description
Drawing from real-life examples and expertise, this author talk will help carers understand the different types of dementia, communicate successfully, provide activities of interest, recognise and manage concerning behaviour and reduce stress.
There will be time to chat and ask questions.
This session is for anyone caring for people living with dementia (family carers and professionals).
About the presenter
Isabel Baker is an RN who has worked closely with people living with dementia and their families for the past 35 years. She has taught aged care staff both in facilities and at TAFE college about dementia care.
Isabel's passion is to see people living with dementia receive compassionate, insightful understanding care where their deficits are recognised, and physical and emotional needs met. Providing a safe, comfortable social and physical environment so they and their carers, both family and professional, can enjoy their time together.

When a Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating is declared for the Mt Lofty Ranges, all Adelaide Hills Council Library branches will be closed, and all events and programs will be cancelled without notice.
When an Extreme 2 (75+) Fire Danger Rating is declared for the Mt Lofty Ranges, the Gumeracha Library will be closed and all events and programs will be cancelled without notice.
Events at all library branches may be subject to review on Fire Danger Days and may also be cancelled without notice.
Any monies paid will either be reimbursed or the event will be rescheduled for a later date.
