DMV Turkish Music Ensemble presents: A Tribute to Ataturk

DMV Turkish Music Ensemble in collaboration with American Turkish Association (ATADC) proudly presents a concert honoring the memory of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, with his favorite songs on Turkish National Teacher's Day.

You are invited to our special concert that we organized to keep the spirit of Atatürk alive and to introduce his favorite songs to the audience. In this magnificent night, we will both go on an emotional journey by listening to Atatürk's favorite songs and discover the richness of Turkish music. We would be happy to see you among us for an unforgettable evening.

DMV Türk Müziği Topluluğu, ATADC derneği işbirliği ile 24 Kasım Öğretmenler Günü'nde Cumhuriyet'imizin kurucusu, Başöğretmen Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk'ü, sevdiği şarkılar ve türkülerden oluşan eserlerin seslendirileceği bir anma konserinde sizleri aramızda görmekten onur duyacaktır.

The American Turkish Association of Washington, DC (ATA-DC), one of the oldest and respected Turkish American organizations in the U.S., has served the Turkish-American Community since 1965. ATA-DC’s mission is to promote Turkish culture in the U.S. and build friendship between Turkish and American people as we foster a stronger Turkish American community in the Washington DC metro area through educational, social and cultural activities.

On February 6th, a devastating earthquake hit 11 cities in Türkiye and Syria, causing the loss of more than 50,000 lives, injuring over 100,000, and displacing 1.5 million people. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this tragedy. Given the devastating aftermath of the disaster, ATA-DC Board immediately launched a fundraiser campaign with Turkish Philanthropy Funds Türkiye Earthquake Relief Fund to provide immediate and long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts for the affected communities.

We're committed to ensuring that 100% of the donations go directly to the victims and families in need. While we still identify the most pressing needs of the local communities, you can still donate and help us spread the word about this fundraiser campaign to reach our goal of $300,000.
